It’s pushed directly into the back of house area to be fulfilled just like a normal order while saving staff time associated with taking phone orders.

As mentioned before, CAKE insists that its new users get hardware supplied by the company. If there’s support for third part equipment, it’s not made known to the average customer. With that being said, the hardware is affordable and designed to stand up to the demands of a restaurant environment. It’s available for outright purchase or on lease. The starter kit comes with a 15” inch terminal, cash drawer, payment cube, and printer.  It’s delivered via the cloud so the operating system of the computer is secondary. For tableside ordering, it’s only compatible with an iPad.
